Why Until 2021 amateur stations below certain power thresholds were categorically excluded from doing an RF exposure evaluation. The FCC removed that amateur-specific exclusion, so under 97.13(c) and Part 1 rules every amateur station, on any band and at any power, must now determine its exposure situation. You may find that your station falls under an exemption in the rules, but making that determination is itself the required evaluation, and you should keep a record of it.
