Why Wavelength in meters equals 300 divided by the frequency in MHz, so 300/146.52 is about 2.05 meters, placing it in the 2 meter band (144-148 MHz per 97.301(a)). 146.52 MHz is also the well known national FM simplex calling frequency on 2 meters, a number most VHF operators memorize.

Watch out 6 meters runs 50-54 MHz and 70 centimeters runs 420-450 MHz, while 20 meters is an HF band near 14 MHz, so none of them contain 146.52 MHz.

The following transmitting frequency bands are available to an amateur station located within 50 km of the Earth's surface, within the specified ITU Region, and outside any area where the amateur service is regulated by any authority other than the FCC.
